Looking for some good opinions as to which LCD is recommended: Planar CT1744Z, NEC LCD1700V, or NEC LCD 1720M? Primary use for this monitor will be web use and gaming such as High Heat Baseball, Madden, The Sims and other games of the genre. Looking for alot of opinions quickly as I will probably place the order today or tomorrow. Thanks everyone.

Samsumg SyncMaster 151S (or 151B) is great...awesome for games too because of the fast 25ms pixel response rate.

For gaming, I love the Gemstar GL-821A 17" LCD I got my wife. It has a 25ms refresh time. Don't see any blurring. It runs $510 at newegg.

I haven't played around with the settings much, but text doesn't see as crisp as I think an LCD should be. It isn't bad, I just had the impression (mistaken?) that text was sharper on an LCD. Need to mess with the settings, anyone have any recommendations in terms of refresh rate for text? Thx

18 Planar here, connected via DVI to a Radeon 8500.....sweeeeet. No problems with FPS games or DVD playback.

As a side note, I love people who diss LCDs for gaming and DVDs. Most of them have never seen how good LCDs can be when you buy a quality unit. I play games and watch DVDs all the time on my Samsung SyncMaster 151B and I find the picture to be sharper and clearer than on any CRT I have.
