Which LCD is better?

I'm looking at the two following 19" LCD monitors (presently both are in my price range):
Benq T905
Viewsonic VX910

Which one is better? The VX910 has a 25ms response rate according to the specifications, but I've heard that newer monitors (manufactured since Nov. 2004, I believe) actually have a 16ms response rate.

The T905 has a 12ms response rate, although on the Benq webpage for it, under the "key features" section, it says 12ms, but under specifications it says 25ms (and no DVI??!).. which is correct?

How would either of these monitors be for gaming purposes (ie. ghosting)?
Also, can the response rates of 8 bit and 6 bit monitors be compared directly (ie. is a 16ms 8 bit better than 12ms 6 bit?)

VP191s is > then VP191b, but finding it from a good retailer is harder. A2Zcomputers has it for $450ish according to pricewatch.com. But A2Z got bad reviews.

Each of those monitors is out of my price range.. and some aren't available from local bix-box retailers (I want to buy from Staples or Bestbuy, for example, because they have a good return/exchange policy.. I will not accept a monitor with any dead pixels)

Same stuff right? just color difference.

Yeh. It is just a color code difference, B-lack, S-ilver. That is the problem I seem to find on the internet. I had read a review saying the S is faster response time but it isn't. My mistake.

Gaming LCDs are usually considered to be < 16ms response times, although like you said, manufacturers embelish usually, whereas a 16ms might be the lowest it hits but averages 20-25ms. You really have to read reviews on the monitors, lots of reviews to get an impression from people who praise it and hate it and then judge for yourself.

As far as I know, the bit rate doesn't affect response rates. All it does is affect color range. 8 bit I think is like 16.7million colors where as 6bit is like 256,000 or something.
