Which Latin American country to visit?

Somewhere unique and cheap where the dollar goes a long way
Maybe even one of the Caribbean countries but what's the point during the winter right?

How's Peru?
Brazil is too expensive

Colombia... you can hire Arcadio to be your tour guide, and if you want to do us a huge favor, make sure you're the only one who comes back.

Or just visit there and see if everyone there is as annoying as he is.

I have been to Costa Rica, Panama, and Nicaragua for surfing. Costa Rica is the most tourist friendly, but the Carribean side going down to Panama is a little sketchy.

My vote is Costa Rica, pretty cheap flights for a lot of cities and they are good to tourists.

For you, where ever has the cheapest hookers.

Beatle Bar in Jaco CR, more hookers than you can shake a stick at. When I was at a surf camp there about 4 years ago, we paid two hookers to dance for about 4 of us and "fool around" with each other.

what's there to do in costa rica in DECEMBER?
isn't it a beachy place?

capt caveman - I wouldn't be interested in hookers but if I meet a cute latin american girl, I'll let you know.

I have only gone there to surf, but the one time I went with a girl we also did the zip lines, butterfly farms, volcano, etc.
It is a beachy place and it is hot in December (however, in the northwest pacific side, its VERY windy from lake Nicaragua).
In December its the dry season for the pacific and the wet season for the Carribean. Lots of eco-stuff to do.

Costa Rica is nice if you haven't been there. My business partner owns some villas down there and he goes frequently. As others said, it's very tourist friendly.

I've spent too much time in Mexico, over 1.5 years. Thank you Mexican people, you have been honest and extremely kind. Lately, past 7 years there's been a high crime wave there.

A couple weeks ago I met a couple from Spain. They'd just traveled to Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. They liked Nicaragua the best, cheap and they had a great time.

What type of activities do you like? Hiking? Diving? Eco-tourism? Cultural?
