I have someone asking me about wanting to use a local printer with a remote desktop connection. I am very surprised at how little information is available around the web.
General consensus seems to be if I have an HP LaserJet from 10 years ago, it will work - short of that I'm just wasting time and money. Apparently all host-based printers are incompatible, which throws out most new HP LaserJets. HP lists off some host-based printers in a document, but nowhere do they have a list saying what printers are non-host-based.
Anyone know anything about other brands? Brother perhaps? Anything at all?
