Which Laptops work with SSDs?

I have a Samsung NP300E5A-A02UB 2350m processor (Sandy Bridge)
Decided to see if an SSD would speed it up and ordered one.
Neutron 256 GB if it matters.
Decided to check for any helpful notes or warnings on the Samsung Website. Support tells me my notebook does not support SSDs, that only HDDs are possible, and only 320, 500, and 750 GB.
Is this Cover Their Ass speak. Or are there notebooks that do not accept SSDs?

A SSD only needs a SATA connection and a power connector. No issue. Just make sure you have a way of reinstalling Windows and drivers for everything before you nuke it from orbit.

What I believe, just checking.
Laptop came from cowboom, so I did the install (blank HDD) almost a year ago. Hope it goes as well.
Guess website is covering its assets.
