Which laptop for gaming?

Hi all. I usually build my own PC's for gaming purposes but I have need for a laptop now for other things but I also want to be able to play current games on it as well. So, that said which laptops out there are the best bang for the buck? Then further I will probably need a laptop cooler so which ones of those are the best? I am leaning towards THIS laptop by Toshiba, a Qosimo X505-Q896 on sale right now at newegg and one it's bigger brothers was in the current Laptop magazine and being a good gaming rig but that one that was one of the X505 series also had an SSD and I think triple core DDR3 and USB 3 onboard as well. Anyone?

Ummmmm, was it something I said? I thought that there being a whole lot of opinionated computer guru types on this site that I would have gotten a lot of advice by now but I get nothing. Should I have registered as Alice Somebody, maybe then I would get a bunch of advice...

It looks like a solid laptop to me. For that kind of cash, see what's available from ASUS as well, and perhaps Alienware.

As far as notebook coolers, it's hard to go wrong. I believe the one made my NZXT was very well regarded, though I'm not sure if it's still available.

Thanks for the advice. I will go take a look see at the Dell and maybe the Dell Outlet sites. I have been reading some of the other posts too and it's too bad that I really need a laptop right now becasue of Sandy Bridge coming soon although I do want to upgrade my desktop as well at some point and have been waiting for SB too come out for that. I was hoping to find one of the Toshiba X505 series that also had an SSD for the OS but I suppose that would be lot pricier and perhaps I could install my own at a later date. Sorry for the smart aleck post...

Have you gone down to the local Best Buy and sized things up? Everyone I know that has purchased a 17" (and larger) laptop has regretted not going with something more portable.
