Which Labtop to get???

Looking to spend under $1600, so far I've rounded it down to two:

dell with a 1GHZ P3-M cpu, 256MB RAM, 30GB, 8XDVD, 15inch XGA, 16MB GeForce 2 GO

compaq with 1.3GHZ Athlon XP (1500+), 256MB RAM, 20GB, 8XDVD, 14inch XGA, ProSavage onboard video


Which one will offer me good FPS in quake III and RTWC??? Is the 16MB Geforce 2 go faster than the ProSavage? How does the Geforce 2 go perform against its desktop GPU's? BTW I dont want to get any Pentium 4 based notebook because they use desktop chips which will mean short life span and major batter hog.

get the dell, before all the athlon fanboys run in here..an athlon will run too hot; besides CPU performance isn't that big of a deal on a laptop, the less battery drain is a bigger deal than the extra mhz.

where can you buy a p4 notebook? just curious

Between the two, I would pick the dell. I've had bad experiences with compaq quality.
