No Internet Explorer, ONLY FIREFOX 10 I am using

I have 4 files and am confused which one(s) to install and in which order?

1) Java Runtime Environment v6 Update 30 (x64)

2) Java Runtime Environment v6 Update 30 (x86)

3) Java Runtime Environment v7 Update 2 (x64)

4) Java Runtime Environment v7 Update 2 (x86)

Seriously? OP, you don't know the difference between x86 and x64?

I do dawg duhh, but I am asking because, what if I have a 32 bit program that requires JAVA, would I need to install both or is the 64 bit only enough?

I know that Firefox is a 32 bit app, there is my confusion :whiste::rolleyes:

Ah, well I guess it would help if you clarified that in your OP. :p

Edit: Have you tried Waterfox? It's the 64 bit version of Firefox.

Unless your Java application requires the x64 Java runtime (if you don't know, then it almost certainly doesn't), you should use the x86 version. I believe 32-bit applications like Firefox require the 32-bit version of Java.

As for Java 6 vs. Java 7, either will work. However, I've run into several applications that aren't yet fully compatible with Java 7, so I'm still using Java 6.
