I'd take Jersey over lots of places in the US every time. That's assuming I can pick the exact part of Jersey. Once you get out of the eastern industrial wasteland, you could think you're in New Hampshire. AFAIC, FL is the asshole of the country. All of the misery of Louisiana, without the cultural interest.

I've been all over the world and have enjoyed many countries. But at the end of the day, I'm going to stay here in the US. If you allowed me to move anywhere in the US, I'd probably pick the central coast of California (Monterey/Big Sur area) or one of the Hawaiian Islands other than Oahu.

Now, if you change the question and give me the option of having a second residence elsewhere, I'd pick either southern France or Italy.
