Which is worse...ricer or redneck?

Ok, so I'm driving back from DQ on a Blizzard run and barreling down the road is this giant Chevy pickup truck with exhaust stacks that look like they've been ripped off of a freaking Semi. He's also got a set of dual exhaust pipes hanging...and I do mean hanging, out from under the bumper as well. Quadruple exhaust...interesting. And to add insult to injury, we have the typical redneck adorning of Nascar stickers, the Confederate flag, and the little calvin sticker pissing on a ford sign.

I was looking for a gun wrack hanging from the rear window, but the nascar and "FEAR THIS" sticker were obscuring my vision. The only thing abscent was a 10" lift kit.

Got me thinking.

Everyone likes to rip on ricers with their huge exhausts, wings that look like they were ripped off an F16, and the usual "Type-R" and "VTEC" stickers.

My question is - which is worse?

While it is fun to point and laugh at ricers, 90% of them wouldn't have the brass to do anything to you. A redneck on the other hand is a much more agressive beast and probably would drag you out of your car and beat you within an inch of your life.

 
theoretically, wouldnt the nascar stickers and ubiquitously loud and pointless exhaust system make the redneck a ricer?

besides, i would think the confederate flag would add to the coefficient of drag, in similar nature to a park bench spoiler
 
the rednecks at least keep stickers about their cars to something they own... the civic DX with the vtec sticker

Definitely the worst. You know the guys with the 89 civic, perpetually primered and bondoed, no mods, just stickers like maybe a huge Honda Racing or a bunch of mugen ones, sh1tty subs they got from one of those "Sales of the Century," blaring limp bizkit or korn or worse...
 
A REDNECK is worse. They are ugly and dirty and smell bad, Nascar is gay as well. Ricers smell like lots of cologne and are always all "prettied" up with their side burns and goatees neatly trimmed and ice flashing and shades covering their eyes.

ehem......i do beleive i am offended by this post.....the assumption that all rednecks are dumb is based on what? just because of where someone lives and how they talk makes them dumb? thats like saying all the yank's are rich biggoted whores.

No, it's not about where they live or how they talk, it's about how they act.

I've been all over this country, and every place had it's fair share of rednecks 🙂

I went to a high school where we had "drive your tractor to school day", and I currently live in a small town where 1/4 of the population lives in a trailor park. I never once commented on intelligence or dialect. I simply made a post about how certain members of society like to dolly up their vehicles and which ones are more obnoxious.
 
Thats easy, rednecks. Ricers will get over it, but with rednecks its engrained for life, not to mention they'll attempt to pass it on to the next generation.

I would say that, in general, the modifications that you see on a "redneck" vehicle are going to be functional - lift kit, winch, roll bar, etc. Most of the mods I've seen on "ricers" are pointless - hoodscoops the size of a mailbox that don't lead anywhere, rear wing the size of a small hang-glider on a car that only has 27HP, lowered suspension that causes a shower of sparks at every intersection, etc., etc., etc. Sure, there are well thought out, high performance cars out there just like there are capable four-wheelers. But given the general association of a 'ricer' and a 'redneck', I'd say the rednecks win without breaking a sweat (and that's pretty uncommon!).
