Which is worse for my liver? Advil or ibuprofen?

Yeah they are the same, and fwiw the main damage (if you can really call it that, its very miniscule but adds up over time) is done to the kidneys, not the liver.

Why would you take any of that crap? They're so mild that all they're good for is little wussy aches. It's not worth the long-term effects. Tough it out.

On another note... which is better, Tylenol or Acetometaphen?

Bayer or Excedrin?

I believe Excedrin has a mix of Asprin, Acetaminophen and Caffeine

Bayer is simply Asprin.

So the two are vastly different

Also, Advil and most generic ibuprofen is sold in 200mg pills, not 100mg.

Advil is just the brand name, and it's harder on the stomach lining more than anything else. (for a normal person)

Yep.

I took massive doses of ibuprofen for two+ weeks when I had my tonsils out and gave myself gastritis (a swelling of the stomach lining) and suffered from massive cramps.

It healed up fine, though. But you need to be careful when taking ibuprofen for long periods of time or for chronic aches.

yeah, you're right. I posted without putting too much thought into it. I usually take 3-4 when I get a headache, which is very rarely.

200mg? Pah.
500mg is the way to go.

Well, prescription Motrin is dosed in 600mg and 800mg, I believe.

There's a guy I play baseball with that uses Advil when he pitches to relieve arm pain.
4 Advils before the start of the game, then I think he takes 2 more every 2 innings

OP - both advil and tylenol are bad for you. You should get some alleve instead or, better yet, some naprosyn

It has the same effect on your stomach as ibuprofen.

Yup, naprosyn is a gastric killer too.
