Which is the most significant, the past, the present, or the future?

The past is important only because it was previously the present - and we can learn from the experience for the future, which will soon become the present. 😀

The present, why dwell on what will happen years down the line? Why dwell on acts already happened? Not going to change the past, live in the future.

Without the past their is no present. or is it
Without the present their is not future. or maybe
Without the future their is no past.

The future is the only thing we can concentrate on in order to better the world. We learn from the past, strive in the present, but hope for the future.

If you live in the past, you miss out on the present and future.

If you live only in the present, the past nor future matter.

You can use the experience of the past and the value of today to prepare for a rewarding future.

IMO

But if the future never comes, AKA never becomes the "present", does it matter?

How so?

Explain in the present the world end everybody dies. Let's suppose that humans are the only creatures that can distinguish time. Since we don't exist anymore there is no future. Time won't advance because nothing can understand time, therefore all that exists is the present.

Thats one idea i have. Let me know if it makes sense to any of you.

The flaw in your logic is that regardless of if anyone or anything can comprehend time, it still exists and will continue to pass even if no one is aware of it. Just because something isnot recognized by a sentient being, does not change the fact that it exists.

he who controls the present can rewrite the past to influence the futue. so the present is tops

"if i have seen farther than other men it is because i have stood on the shoulders of giants" so the past is most important

i've never seen a good argument for why the future would be more important

How can someone "rewrite the past"? You can try to change how people view it, but the past has happened and it can't be changed.

You really think the future is not important? We are talking about what will be, and we have the most control over it.

What we do in the present affects how the future will be. 😉 So worry about what you're doing RIGHT NOW, not what you will be doing in the future.

overrated constructs.

Randomness has a crucial role in the way things happen. Extrapolating the "future" based simply on the "past" is a great way to act irrationally in the present.

The present is the only thing you have any control over.

The past helps you to know what you need to do in the present in order to create the kind of future you want.

The past and the future are only theoretical, however.
