That's what people w/ small equipment would say.

That's not a game. BTW, do they send you 20 DVDs?

If its used in the game? Sure, why not. Its part of it.

I think there has to be a limit here on that then. Otherwise, I could make a game where it shows the background to the game (Lets say, the entire trilogy of the lord of the rings with the exception of the ring destruction part) then make a ten minute game having one destroy the ring, then go back to another cut scene of the movie.
An extreme example, but still it must be brought up.

I was going to make that point. $60 for 20 hours of CGI and around 4 hours of playable content. It wasn't a 'game'.

#1 There wasn't 20 hours of un-playable CGI
#2 The game last more than 4 hours, unless you are a skilled player bum rushing through the game like crazy.
Plus, many recent hit games have much less playable content, so even if MGS4 has more playable content, but more cutscenes to go with it, it suddenly isn't a game?
You know they allow people like you to skip cutscenes, right?
Idiot.

When the "game" is 80% cutscene and 20% gameplay, you shouldn't be making the "you can skip cutscenes" argument. You would have no idea what the hell was going on.
In the 3 acts I've played I've probably played about 2 hours of actual game. Most of which consisted of a 20 minute cutscene followed by "gameplay" that consisted of Otacon telling me to go to x location so I can watch another f'ing 20 minute custscene.
They should have just sold it as a collectors edition DVD for 40 bucks.

Name five.
My first play through took 24 hours which, of course, includes watching all of the cutscenes and done on 'normal'. My second play through was 3 hours and 47 minutes. I skipped all cutscenes and codec scenes and played on very easy.
The point is that there is very little game to MGS4. People bitched and moaned about COD4 being short, but praise a 'game' that can be played in under 4 hours.
And the name calling isn't necessary. It just shows you're too sensitive.

There was more gameplay than cutscene. Maybe MGS is not for you.
