My Netgear ME102 WAP wasn't hard to set up. The documentation that came with it was fine. However, there is a firmware update which you'll probably want to get, and the documentation for that was kind of atrocious, e.g. if you don't already know what MAC address filtering is the Netgear docs won't help.

But, I'm guessing that with most wireless devices, initial setup isn't much more difficult than plugging everything in. It is enabling security features where any complications may come in.

It's easier said than done since I plugged everything in and did not work. I bought the Belkin brand and I don't know what is wrong.

Here is a review of a Belkin Wireless Router. One of its alleged advantages is "easy setup." :) Wouldn't surprise me if you've got a defective router or usb card but if you are going to return it anyway, trying a different brand may make sense.

Linksys is always easy... I have the D-Link 900+ and it was cake to set up...

I would recommend downloading the manuals and read through them. If it makes sense and seems easy enough to configure your needs go for it.

Good luck.
