Which is the Best Video card driver for ATI?

yes you can 😉
I'm using the 4.12 cats.

Use official ATI drivers.

Omega drivers are just one big farce meant to provide "placebo" improvements to the same group of people who think running Windows XP without a pagefile is a good idea.

I agree that they don't have any real permformance/ image quality improvements over the at drivers, but they do use a lot less memory (because of the control panel) and built in overclocking without the need for another program is nice.

Using the 4.11 ATI DRIVER and using Radlinker working fine for me. No control panel.

Official ATI drivers(always go with latest unless you`ve problems),also using the old control panel is better IMHO at this time, rather then the newer bloated CCC.

Btw I always recommend Driver Cleaner as well, may not be needed all the time, but can help ensure you get a very clean driver install.

Driver Cleaner.

Without the control panel, can you still control the video settings via Radlinker?

Omega drivers are not meant to provide placebo improvements, nor are they a farce. They are just as capable as the ATI catalyst drivers. The reason why a lot prefer them is because the Omegas come with most of the tools you need to do anything, all in one package (softmod, overclock, multires) etc. If people believe that the omega drivers themselves perform faster or have better image quality, I can see where you think there is a placebo effect going on here.

I use the official ATI drivers and have the Rage 3D tweak installed for OCing. The rage 3d proggie fits right in with the other ATI option tabs in the advanced display properties and allows you to easily adjust your core/mem speeds.

How about a poll?
I personally use patched drivers for my softmod, I used to use Omegas, and now I am waiting for their next drivers based on official non-beta Cats.

Not so much performance gains. As I like the tweaks and the superior interface. Also never have to deal w/ ccc. Not to mention it work on my laptop card as well.
