Right now for me would be either

Tuesday's gone or
Low Man's Lyrics

....Too many excellent songs, it really depends on what mood I'm in. right now it seems somewhat of a suicidal mood. tomorrow it may be more upbeat who knows.

Master of Puppets
Fade To black
For Whol the bell tolls
Creeping death
Welcome Home Sanitarium)
One
Orion
To live is to die

fvck there are too many i cant decode

One
Fade to Black
Unforgiven II
Orion
Call of Ktulu
Master of Puppets
Battery
And Justice For All
Blackened
Dyer's Eve
For Whom the Bell Tolls

take your pick 🙂

I really don't think ONE is that good of a song. I never got why so many people liked it.

There's not really any single song that stands out that much, because they're all at a very high plateau of excellence from the Black Album and before. Everything afterwards is garbage.

Listen to the guitar solo and you'll know why.

I liked Enter Sandman before I even knew what the lyrics were or who Metallica was, but I'd have to say Master of Puppets or Battery, maybe One, but I have to mention Wherever I May Roam. IMO, that could have been one of their best ever if they hadn't moved to shorter songs for the black album.

Wow, such an old thread.
I cannot choose. METALLICA RULES!!!

EDIT:

I'm a huge fan of the old metallica, but I think LOAD is terribly underrated.
Even St. Anger.

the main thing I dont like about St Anger is the damn drum sound they use that sounds like they are beating on a steal drum

Agreed.
I listen to the live recording of their cd that came as an extra DVD with St. Anger, it is better.
I have always loved live metallica more than their studio recordings.

my personal fav is the live version of Seek and Destroy on the B side of the Jump in the Fire 12" single...

this was autographed back in 85 by James, Lars, Cliff (RIP dude!!!) and Kirk...

love the "85 Vodka in Houston" and "MUYFA "

Drool over this...

for those of you born after 1985, this was on a medium called "vinyl"...😀
