Wrong forum ... but since you ask ...

Basic BT headsets by Plantronics, Jabra etc rock. Avoid Nokia/Sony unless you're looking for high-ed, in which case Motorola is usully a better deal.

And ebay is a great place! As is Amazon (Plantronics for under 35 shipped - their most basic one)

I wasn't going to reply (wrong forum), but I had to buy a headset as well and went with the Cardo Scala 500 from Ecost for $38.99 shipped.

Soz to be posting here (as I realise this question is sitting in the wrong forum to start with), but what is the Cardo Scala 500 like? I have a Samsung D500, and have been looking to get a Bluetooth headset... Would you recommend it?

I have the Sony Ericsson HBH 600. Pretty happy with it, over 4 hours talk time, days on standby... :)

Well, for when they don't want the hassles of any wires between cellphone/pda/PC and the headset...

isn't the additional charging and stuff to carry around more of a hassle

I would get a scala 500 again if I ever needed one, mine has been a champ and have used it with 3 different phones without a hitch and everyone says it sounds better than the phone it self sounded..
I did have a problem with the dock and emailed cardio and they had one in my hands within a week for free and very helpful staff ..

Are there any stereo bluetooth headsets available? Obviously it's for computer use and not cell phone use.

Hey guys

My plans to order a Scala 500 fell through... no local supplier here in SA stocks them, and no online retailer seems to want to help me out.

The best priced ones I can get here are a Jabra and a thing called a Billionton (go to products, search for HSBTA).

I know the answer may seem obvious, but which is better?

Well, as for me, I use it on campus to listen to music as I walk from one end to the other. My phone does OGG files. I also use my headset with my PC for teamspeak chat with friends... Its just convenient.

As far as which headset I use, I use the Bluetrek G2.. Got it for 30 bucks shipped several months ago. I coupled that with a Trendware Bluetooth USB adapter for my PC use.

My younger brother has that Cardo Scala unit everyone has been referring to. He is quite happy with it, but I prefer my Bluetrek.. Personal choice I guess.
