Which is the best all-in-one AMD mATX mobo?

Any suggestion for a good stable Micro ATX AMD mobo with builit in Video, Sound and LAN.

Looks like NV7m is a good bet. Is there any one with Modem built in too?

No modem board than I am aware of.

But the best all in one is...

If you want to spend a little and plan on playing games go with a nForce

If you want something cheap then look at Biostar's newwest KM266 board, it uses the 8235 Southbridge

One from ASUS with Nvidia chipset seems good (A7N266-VM). I have built two mATX AMD system using KM133 chipset and I still have one as my second system. However, I will pick a non-VIA board next time I upgrade it.

Includes Lan, Modem (56k) and very good video. It has 2 PCI slots, 1 AGP slot and 1 AMR slot. Uses cheap pc133 ram (up to 1 gig).

The best part is: revision 7.X supports XP cpus up to 2100+.

I just got an Amptron version and it is Rev 7.1a and it was quite inexpensive.

That looks appropriate for my intended use.

btw, where did u buy that from?

What chipset does it use? Does it have the same performance as KT133A?

I could not find any info on this mobo. Any help is appreciated...

ive built several system based on sis730 chipset boards, and although they are pretty good, i would definatly pick the km133a or km266 over the sis730/sis740

sis730 and km133a use sdram
sis740 and km266 use ddr

personally i really like the biostar board that has both sdr and ddr slots (m7vig, based on the km266 chipset) newegg has it for around $60 shipped last time i checked

That is the one. Its a cool red color PCB. Personally, I am not fond of the integrated VIA boards.

SIS730 still has superior memory performance compared to VIA sdram board.

Unfortunately the SIS740 based boards are not available from my supplier.

I just played UT2k3 on a A7N266-VM/XP1600+/256mb Crucial 2100DDR last night@1024x768 it's fine with "low" for the settings The sound is awesome on this board too, IMHO for a all-in-one you can pick up for 72$ right now it's a great ultra-budget gamer with sweet sound.

I just built a Asus A7n266-VM system for a friend(1700Xp-Samsung 2100-WD 40Gig) and was quite impressed/runs UT2003 Demo @ 800 res with all eye drops on 15"er fast and no hiccups/installed slicker than ball o' snot/recommend a good power supply-one one that came in an Evercase could not cut it but an upgrade to a Antec 330 TP=no mo errors/need more GPU? drop in your fav AGP card/also ran demos of: Hitman2/Quake Areana/NOLF2/Phonex Rising and all ran very well,most would run in 32bit albeit slower but no locks/ I was waiting for the SIS boards to mature for DDR400 but now will wait for the NForce2 boards for my personal upgrade This has to be the best budget board on the market at this time,Fast and Stable and O Yea! the onboard sound is most impressive

i love them

i would take it any day over a sis730 or sis740 based board (ive used several of the sis boards, and while they arent bad at all, the via is a much better choice in my opinion)

plus they all have an agp slot so you can aways add a vid card later
