Monty Python the whole way!
Any one who says otherwise is the child of a hamster and elderberry-smelling father!

(Take that comment however you want :) )

Needs a poll!
And dude...it's got the vorpal bunny! Airplane is great, but not up to the Holy Grail or Life of Brain.

Here in geek world Python will win this one going away. I love it too, but think Airplane is funnier as a whole.

A professor of mine in college (who was a huge Python fan) once pointed out that if you took away the English accents suddenly it's nowhere near as funny. I'd never really thought about it that way (it IS considered English humor afterall so the accent goes hand-in-hand with the style) but it does appear to be true somewhat. I can't picture comic actors like the groups from SNL or MadTV or wherever doing the same sequences and finding myself laughing near as hard if I were viewing it for the first time.

I crack up simply reading the script. It isn't so much their accent as it is how proposterous some of the scenes are. Certain scenes are more funny because of the accents though, like the knights of NI. But, any bunch of comedians will do voice impersonations, that is a large part of them being funny. If this type of movie was done by someone else, I'd think they would do multiple impersonations and all sorts of weird voices as well, perhaps ruining some scenes but making other scenes more funny.
