Right now I can get a 64MB 9100 for $30 as apposed to a 5200 for $78 and I just want to be sure that the performance difference will be worth it.

For the money, the 9100 is a steal! Performance is within 10%. The price is a 260% difference! Go for the 9100 all the way!

I am curious about 9100 vs 9200...got link for benchmark? Not sure 9200 is faster than 9100?

9100: 4 pixel pipelines, 2 texture units per pipeline, 2 vertex shaders (1 DX8, 1 DX7).
9200: 4 pixel pipelines, 1 texture unit per pipeline, 1 vertex shader.

So the 9100 has twice the theoretical multitexture fillrate, thus it will be faster in most cases.
