Which would be cheaper. Running central heat in a house or 4 space heaters? Let's just make an estimated guess and not try to do the actual math. Opinions?

They're almost always 1500W.

Is the central heat electricity also?

It depends on how effecient the central heating is. If it has holes in the vents or if the house isnt well insulated, then it would make more sense to keep the heat in a smaller place so it wont escape as fast.

Also, is it an electric space heater or a gas operated one?

If 6kW can heat your entire living space it's either very small, tight or not very cold outside.

Well, there's no way a space heater would ever get my living room warm, so I have to go with central heat (gas).
