From a laptop point of view, how does the 1 Ghz Mobile AMD Athlon 4 CPU stack up to the Mobile Intel PIII 1.13GHZ. Is the mobile Athlon equivalent to the 1.13 or 1.2 Ghz mobile PIII's??? Is a PIII 1.13 faster than the athlon 4? I need to decide on which laptop to buy, right now i am debating between the athlon 1ghz and the Intel PIII 1.13. Price is not an issue.....
 
do u have a link to both laptops so ppl can compare them? Or do you just want to decide based on the processor...

I'd probably go athlon
 
Well both are HP's and are roughly the same in all respects except the Athlon has 256MB of RAM and 8MB of dedicated video memory and the Intel 1.13 has 512MB of RAM and 16 MB of shared video memory, and is 2 lbs lighter. The intel equipped laptop is their newer model and looks cooler whereas the Athlon is last years model. Other than that there are pretty much the same. Do u think the 512MB of RAM will give the pentium CPU an edge over the athlon?
