I use contact lenses and i was just wondering if anyone had any idea on which solution was better to use. Renu or Opti free.

I'm currently using Opti Free Replenish, but I've been seeeing soo many ads about RENU being better. I'm thinking of switching over. What do you use and what would you recommend I do?

Wal-Mart brand equate. Its the cheapest and they are all the same. I have been wearing contacts for 15+ years and no problems with generic. Its how well you treat your eyes and the lenses, not the solution. Other brands are a complete waste. Just look at the ingredients.

I use equate. It's cheaper and works just as well as the more expensive stuff I've tried.

I like the Renu No Rub formula, because I'm lazy! I haven't noticed that one makes my contacts feel better than others though.

thanks tallbill, i'll make sure to work on it. But you know, when people don't know what a topic is about, they are curious, and hence look at it. Kinda like being nosy and always wanting to be in the know. nonetheless, thanks for the headsup.

I've actually noticed that ReNu moisture-loc did change something in my contacts. For new contacts, it made them easier to wear and more comfortable. Of course, I have issues with contacts that have been worn for longer than 20 days, and moisture-loc had that fungus infection problem, soo...

For non-gimmick solutions, generic is probably best.

Don't believe the Rub-Free marketing... you still have to clean/rub your contacts daily, regardless if they're disposable or not.

Rubbing is a PITA. I'd rather live with a marketing gimmick that has a chance of being true than paying a little less money to do more work.

EDIT: I realize that makes little sense but basically I'd buy rub-free for the peace of mind.

How can you not rub your lenses? Mine get so dirty from where I work that if I don't clean them well before I put them in and after I take them out, they sting when I put them in again.
