which is better

My bro's got $180-200 to speand on a video card he was looking at a leadtek 5900xt,but i wasthinking the ati 9800 pro is a better card what do u guys think

A 9800 Pro would be the best possible card right now. When the PCIe and AGP 6600GTs and X700s come out, it won't be so cut and dry.

A 9800Pro is better though the 5900XT is by no means a bad card. I would suggest the MSI version but still its not a bad card. Right now here is how i would rank everything in terms of best overall.

1. 6600GT
2. X700XT
3. 9800Pro
4. 5900XT

any of those cards are good put thats how i stack em up right now.

I would put the 9800np and 9700pro over the 5900xt as well.

The 6600 GT will only be available for awhile in PCI express, which would cause you to do 2 things, have an Intel platform and buy a latest mb and processor. Right now I think its bad move for card companies not offer agp cards.
