Which is better for overclocking? Asus P3V4X or Asus P2B HELP Please! Thanks!

As the title states, which motherboard is better the Asus P3V4X or Asus P2B? And why? Also, which one is better for overclocking? I heard a PIII 700 chip can goto 933 which is what I want to try on this board. This information would be helpful, thanks!

I'm currently running an Asus P3V4X, and it runs pretty well. I'm using a P3700E@1085MHz with a GORB, and very few lockups in Win2K. Your P3700 may or not be able to make it up to 933, if it hasn't come close on any other motherboard. Depends on the processor. But if you've tried it and it works, it will most likely work on the P3V4X. Only thing I don't like about hte P3V4X is only 5 PCI Slots :-(.
My friend has a P2B, running a 300@something, and he says he likes it. But it doesn't support AGP2X, and I don't think it has SoftMenu or osmething like that (I could be wrong). P3V4X has SoftMenu (for overclocking. Quite useful)

Ahhh..ic..thanks a lot for the help! Do you know what board would be good for overclocking but has 6 pci slots and 1 agp? Or do they not exist?

You could try the Asus CUSL2-C, but I'm not sure how good it is. It's based on the Intel 815EP chipset, meaning it has no onboard audio, I think. 6 PCI slots though
If you want a Dual proc mobo, try Asus CUV4X-D. Only 4 PCI slots though

the p2b is not great for serious o/clocking as it lacks voltage manipulation which is sometimes necessary to stabilise the o/clock.
it's a great board never the less!

junthin: The Asus CUSL2-C does support Audio but not Video and you probably wouldnt use it anyway.

One advantage with the P3V4X vs P2B is the agp divider on the via vs bx chipset. I love my P3V4X but would get the CUSL2-c if I were buying another board today. Not much performance difference but has stability and ata100 support. CUSL2 Review

I have a P3V4X with P3 650@950, great mobo, this is my spare box now. As for the 815 mobos, I had one for 3-4 days and sold it, I was not impressed at all, my bro has a CUSL-2, and it seems we spend a lot of time rebooting from lockups etc:
If you have the P3V4X just run with that, best VIA chipset mobo for P3s I believe. See overclockers Australia.com for tweaking info on the mobo.

I have the P3V4X and the CUSL2-C, both boards are super stable and overclock very well. If you have no ISA devices, go with the CUSL2-C.
