Ah well, i don't do any ripping on Windows anymore anyway, I don't need the Co part... my laptop is significantly faster when it comes to that sort of thing, and the software i like to use for it is better on OS X anyway.

Wow... It's amazing how many idiots there are on AT. Ever lifers can't simply answer the question about which is better. I don't have an answer for you, but I was just amazed at how many stupid answer you got from people telling you to use gomplayer and vlc. That wasn't the freaking question!

AT has gone way downhill in years.

When he first asked the question, the one i initially answered, all it said was which was better, XviD or DivX. I replied that h264 was better than both. It was not until after I answered did he edit his original post. I seldom go back to original posts to see if they have been edited, so i stand by the things that i said since IMO, the unedited version does not gie sufficient information.

I, as well as everyone else that has posted in this thread, do however appreciate being called idiots. Very classy move on your part.

i really, really think that Crystal-Player is the best player, closely followed by MPC with ffdshow and MPUI. Dont knowa bout gomplayer...nothing which makes me "whooo"....

Btw....i use xvid,mostly. tough question actually :)
