The Mazda and the Jetta, altho that Jetta pic sucks. What's with those wheels?!?! The Corolla is the most mundane, boring, godawful conservative, no-risk-taking, no-emotion-evoking design I've ever seen.
the Corolla's used to be the most boring cars in the world but toyota actually did something right with these 2003 models...the Corolla actually looks kinda sporty now which is a good thing 🙂
Personally I like this one.
Problem is you can buy 5 of each of the cars on your list for the price of this car. 😛
Only one of the three that I don't care for the looks of is the Protege 5...
What pisses me off is that Nissan has a perfectly good looking Sentra clone in Japan, with a nice rear end Nissan Sylphy
Yet when they bring it to US, they feel like they have to make it butt ugly and americanize it. If I wanted an American looking car, I would get a crown vic. 🙂
Corolla has some nice styling queues, Until you realize that this car is as tall as it is wide and looks like an echo with smoothed out edges and a body kit.

I thought I'd like the Corolla but I finally saw one in person a few days ago. Turns out I didn't like it.
Jetta all the way....get some decent wheels on that damn thing and it is HOT...plus performance-wise it would smoke all those cars in the polls. (At least a 1.8T would)
Make SURE you get a 1.8t Jetta... I had the stock 115hp (on a 2000) and it was weak.... As for the car, i loved it... Few things broke here and there, but their all covered in the bumper-to-bumper... Also, make sure not to pull up to far in spaces... I ripped my bumper off about 5 times, they suggest to park it backwards...
