Which is a better CPU water block? GTZ or Fuzion V2?

i understand that they are a dead tie pretty much, but what about all the misc stuff? (small stuff)

flow rate? lower restriction? ease of mounting? reliability? warranty?

and more importantly, does the fuzion v2 quad core insert help it at all? is it worth the $5?

Update: Just got an unused Apogee GT for $28, how much performance difference is there between this and the Fuzion v2? about 3c? 5c? 10c?

Swiftech GTZ or D-Tek Fuzion V2?

what about between these two?
Swiftech GT or Fuzion V1?

id say the GTZ with your setup.

And the second one the fusion.

i know its minimal, but how much better is the GTZ than the Fuzion v2? the fuzion is a bit cheaper..

how abuot ease of use?

depending on loop, many only see around 2C between the GTZ, V1 and V2 fuzion blocks. It depends on if those couple degrees are worth it to you.

I personally run a Fuzion V1 with no nozzles and my temps never break 50C full load.

looks like the fuzion being cheaper by $2 is worth it, since it performs identical to the gtz.

now... anyone hear anything about the quad core insert for it?

I haven't seen a direct comparison yet. If you think about it realistically though, the GTZ is supposed to be the latest and greatest and the Apogee GT is the older model. That would put GTX in between those two. Since there's maybe 2C between the GT and GTZ, the GTX would be in the middle of those. Though the GTX isn't a popular block anymore because it was a mix of Alu and Copper. unless you get the later revision which is all copper.

mm thanks for all the help, i'm stuck with the GT now... guess i'll be 5c behind the best cooling water block on the market...

Personally, I don't think it's a 5C difference but more like 2-3C. Either way, the price I paid for my apogee vs the price/performance difference of the GTZ isn;t worth it to me.

i know.. now i'm just thinking.. which is better, my Apogee GT or your Fuzion v1? lol

i DO have a backplate for LGA775, just dont know if it will work, but aren't these all universal anyway?

They are basically universal, depending on how you mount it. See the pic I pm'ed you for the easiest method.

As for what's better, I've seen basically zero difference between the two but many will argue that the FuZion is a shade better than the Apogee GT. The plus side of the FuZion is the fact that you can use nozzles with it. I run mine without nozzles and did not see any gains with any of the nozzles I tried.

i'm planning to buy from JT, so is there anywhere else besides PTS where i can get the PT nuke for cheap shipping?

instead of the nuke louis get one of these:

http://www.petrastechshop.com/sikibyia.html

its reusable, and it does the same thing as pt nuke.

Alex ships USPS first class, so you can save yourself some shipping charges.

In application u put them inside your tubing like that picture or this one:

The silver will leach into your coolant.

When bacteria come into contact with a silver surface the silver ions bind with the bacteria and causes the enzymes to breakdown. The enzymes then cannot produce energy, preventing the bacteria from reproducing and eventually dieing.

basically it kills ATP synthesis, incase your bio is rusty. anything that lives in this world can not live without ATP.

Subtotal: $8.75
Shipping: $8.04*
Tax: $0.00
Total: $16.79

when trying to order the silver killcoil from PTS. $8 shipping? how do i get themto ship it in a cheaper way?

all i need is: 1 x killcoil + 1 x plastic t-line plug

okay i'm an idiot, u can select it from the drop down list

i'm going to order my killcoils now. Can i use them with Pentosin G11 + distilled?
