without the U2 stuff.

I'd get something other than an Apple product after buying a 20GB 3rd gen for the GF... I can easily list more cons than pros of that stupid thing.

if I were to get one for myself, I'd consider getting that Sony hard drive based one.... (can't remember what the model is)

I think the U2 edition looks kinda ugly, I'd get the regular one.
