AOL is getting bad, and when i went back to some old version - my buddy list didnt show up... so they do limit you to upgrade :(

between those two, aim, if youre looking for versitility go trillian, i use aim because all of my friends are on that

i think for those its not a question of which is better, its a question of where are most of your friends. Still, i'd say check out trillian if you havent.

msn is terrible- microsoft adware all over my computer, and it takes up too much of the screen.
ive got aimutation, with an os x skin. its perfect.

of those two, AM. But seeing as how AIM isn't getting any better, I see MSN getting the upper hand in a few years.

best im client: Gaim (works with AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu and Zephyr; uses less RAM; free; opensource, so it has no stupid adware/malware/spyware/makes-you-wanna-pull-your-hair-outware)
