What's so great about trillian? I tried it a couple of times and just plain hated it. There were so many bugs.

trillian

I like it enough I'm thinking of paying for it, if nothing else just to support the company.

i havent noticed any bugs, and i use it bedcause it lets me have one program that has both my icq and my im buddies on one list, supports name changes and has for awhile and other little features.

Wow I can't believe all the Trillian users. I had it before and thought it sucked. Got rid of that garbage real fast.

Download Miranda (there's a jan 21 build I think too). Simply rocks. There are some good plugins too. The WhoIsReadingMyStatusMsg plugin is neat as hell. You will thank me later. 🙂

You install it and it alters AIM so you don't have ads, it also keeps a message log it you want and allows you to open multiple sessions under different names(aim cloning). AIM+ has more features but didn't work with AIM 5 for the longest time. I think it does now but I didn't need anything more.

AIM 5.1. Why do so many use 4.8?

I tried Trillian too, and found it buggy. It wouldn't connect to a few of my IM services, and often crashed.
