Which instant messaging services do you use?

I use miranda at work as the inter-office messaging service.

I used AIM once upon a time, but haven't used it in ages. nowadays I'll either text friends or use the facebook im program.

I've used AIM (and ICQ) their very early versions, and although I got an MSN and Yahoo account over the years, I barely use them. Now it's mainly just AIM that I use, and although I'm online all the time, I hardly talk to anybody. I usually just resort to texting.

However, Digsby is a fantastic multiclient application, so I just have it log into Facebook, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Twitter. Handles everything all in one, and very nicely.

mostly only aim and google talk. thankfully, adium (osx all-in-one client) signs into everything for me so i dont have to keep track of which accounts are online or not.

use skype and facebook chat.

got into skype more since my school adopted a tablet program. everyone has a laptop and skype isnt blocked

Google talk/Gmail chat primarily, but still use AIM a bit since a few friends of mine are on it and not the other.
*edit* I should mention I don't use AIM software. I use pidgin. AIM is too full of ads and annoying crap anymore.

I use Gchat primarily and AIM otherwise. I still have Yahoo and MSN accounts though, but rarely use them.

You forgot IRC though.....and that reminds me, I need to bump the atot IRC thread...

I use Pidgin. I've been using it for years. It's a great IM'ing service that has pretty much everything under the sun.

AIM, MSN, Facebook, Steam (When steam is installed and I want to play with someone I know...), and Skype.

I use Pidgin, Skype, and Steam. Sometimes I use the Facebook IM plugin for pidgin, sometimes I don't.

MSN only. Got some people telling me to get Facebook recently, and quite a few over the years, but na.

Too lazy to figure out Googletalk.

Used ICQ way back in the day, until I realized how irritating the whole IM thing was, and that I spent more time shooting back and forth pretty much worthless drivel, than I did doing anything else online. Probably haven't used it in 8+ years now.

Used Skype video chat service while my niece was studying in Japan for a year, but haven't bothered loading it on the new computer, since she's back in the states now.

Really, don't bother with IM anymore.
