Which ide Cable ??

Trying to figure out which IDE cable i should use for my 8x DVD burner. Its made by BTC. Right now i am using the standard IDE cable. Should i be using the IDE cable with more ribs (wires) like the cable i am using for my HD? Also is it better performance wise to run the DVD burner on the same IDE cable as the HD ? Right now i have the HD on 1 and the DVD burner on another.

ata 33 at max of 33mb/s would burn a dvd in about 2 minutes.

What ATA mode(s) does the drive support? It probably doesn't really matter, but I use the 80 wire IDE cables just because I have long since thrown out my 40 wire ones.
