Which model of the Seagate,Western Digital,ect? I am looking for find a IDE/ATA 40-60gig. Also hows the RMA(easy?)?

Whatever you do, don't go IBM.

I'd say a WD Caviar or Seagate Barracuda will do just fine. I have both, and they're EXCELLENT 😀
 
I have 3 western digitals going strong.. one of them is in my server and it's showed no signs of problems 🙂
