which handheld devices HP or SONY?

Hi, i want to buy a handheld devices(so does it call PDA?)

only HP and SONY are in my mind, but i have not experience on it.
what do i need to be ware of? MHz? Ram size? or anything...

I see that SONY's speed(mhz) is 200mhz but HP has 400Mhz, so HP has a faster processor so does it mean it is actually faster?

I(think most people do think) want to have a easy network connection(stable and fast and reliable)
I mostly use it for business phone numbers, notes, schedules, ...

so can anyone suggest me a good PDA.?

thanks

You should first decide whether you want a Palm based or Microsoft based system. Palm OS has a lot of business/application type of software but not a whole lot on games or multimedia, as it's only been recent that Palm systems have had enough horsepower to deal with processor demanding applications, while MS WinCE has many years headstart. As far as I know, Sony uses the Palm OS while HP goes with MS.

Personally I like to stick with Palm as I really do not like WinCE, it has the same bloated feeling as other window systems, while Palm is refreshing.. Very subjective but one really has a true alternative choice to MS in the PDA world.

Like the post above said you have to decide on whether you want the palm os or windows os. I myself prefer the windows os and the HP/COMPAQ iPaqs are the way to go if you want a windows os model.

at first, i lean towards HP/COmpaq, but at last, i bought the Mitac Mio 336. Maybe u haven't heard of it, it is a Korea brand(the first PDA that has build in GPS)
ya, it is a Windows OS.

my question is i have a Nokia 6100, i can't get it to send ringtone and pictures to my phone.
it can detech a nokia 6100 but can't connect(just saying waiting to be connect) at last, it says fail.

The PPC i have is quite good i think, the color is sharper than HP..(cuz the company also makes LCD)

2nd, how can i install software onto the PDA? when i download the files from internet to my desktop pc, then should i extract it on my PC then use "activesync" to send it over or extract to PDA and install there...?

3rd, what user friendly secret do u know about PDA? please share..

4th, how should i recharge the PDA? i mean i just bought the thingy(less than 24hours), now i drain the battery by playing mp3, movies, now i want to recharge it, can i use it and charge it at the same time? the user manual says that connect the PDA to AC power at anytime so that it won't be out of batt.
if this is true, isn't it just like a cell phone, where people should drain the battery before they recharge? ANyhow, please tell me how u recharge ur gadget.

5th, how can i connect the internet? i have internet access 3.0mb adsl.... how can i copy the address from desktop PC to pda?

thanks

thanks
