Which GTX 650 ti boost should I get?

I've been eyeing an upgrade for some time now, and with the 700 series about to launch to drop prices and my hd 7770 having terrible frame latency issues I've decided to do it.
These are the cards in my range, not much but enough to where I can't decide.
It's either an EVGA 650ti boost SC 1GB, an EVGA 650ti Boost SC 2GB, or a MSI 650ti boost twin frozr III 2GB.

EDIT: It's not letting me link it so here's the full thing. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709%20600030348%20600315498%20600423185&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=48%7C14%2D130%2D915%5E14%2D130%2D915%2DTS%2C14%2D130%2D910%5E14%2D130%2D910%2DTS%2C14%2D127%2D728%5E14%2D127%2D728%2DTS&percm=14%2D130%2D914%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24%3B14%2D130%2D915%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24%3B14%2D130%2D909%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24%3B14%2D130%2D910%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24%3B14%2D127%2D728%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24&nm%5Fmc=AFC%2DC8Junction&cm%5Fmmc=AFC%2DC8Junction%2D%5F%2Dna%2D%5F%2Dna%2D%5F%2Dna&AID=10440897&PID=3332167&SID=u00000687
Sorry. :\

I plan to overclock, so that makes it harder. I have a ok enough ventilated case and have an i7 870. I'm not looking for silence, my 1 casefan in my dell xps 8100 makes a lot of noise, but do want a good bit of OC potential and to be able to have voltage control, even though that might not happen on a mid range chip.

I am really stuck here, suggestions?

Or would it be better to just get a 650ti and "boost" it myself? (OC)

The boost version has 192mb interface VS 128 on the gtx 650 ti non-boost.
And more ROP's.

Yes the 650ti non-boost is so memory bandwidth limited its probably the worst overclocker in the whole 6xx lineup in actually getting something useful from the overclocking.

This is the same reason why you should never get a 7790 if you're an overclocker.

@OP, I would get a MSI Twin Frozer III one to laugh at how low the temps will be as the Twin Frozer III is the exact same thing that's on the MSI 7970 GHz edition.
Some of the newegg reviews say it does 35C when gaming lmfao. The newegg reviews say 60C at maximum overclock, which is miles away from the 80C target these chips would be designed around, and probably was on auto fan, so would be even lower at 100% fan speed.

1gB of vram is very low if you don't plan on upgrading gfx cards within a year so I wouldn't recommend that option.

I'd go with a HD 7850 as when overclocked it will blow past the GTX 650 Ti Boost
I need to get NVidia, my hd 7770 is stuttering terribly. And that sucks because, being a budget gamer, I have usually used AMD.

Ok, that decides the memory issue, any other opinions?

Thanks for the help!

Is your 7770 a 2GB version? If not that might be the cause of your stutter.

No, it's 1 GB, but I only really play minecraft and KSP. And I was going to upgrade soon, but the stuttering convinced me, the card is currently overclocked to the max on core (1111) and the memory's most effective clock is 1241 and I play at 1280x1024. The reason I'm at a 650 is that I am also getting a 3d monitor to pair with my normal one. (monitoring on the 75htz, gaming on the other) If that deal I have with my friend falls through (It is a $300 monitor for $230) I will be getting a GTX 670, but I want that monitor. :p

EDIT; If I get the 650ti boost, what is a known safe voltage for the card? If it comes with unlocked voltage I'm going to try and get this to 660ti performance. (wish me luck. :awe:)

All of Minecraft is a notorious memory leak.

Java = memory leak.

I would suggest getting 3-6gB of video ram if you like it alot :p.

Yeah the 128 bit memory interface and the 1gB of the 7770 is definitely the culprit to your Minecraft badness.

True. XD Maybe a titan will fix it. I only run 512x texturepacks, R3DCraft. Default with shaders. But I get stuttering in all my games, not just MC.

Yeah, I know minecraft is horribly unoptimized, and java doesn't help. But a 650ti should net me at least 120 fps vanilla, 100 shaders. Even though I am actually CPU limited with the render distance. But hey, drool over this at 75 fps.

A peaceful town.

Oh, true. I hadn't even considered a 660. I would need to sell last light, not 17 yet, so that brings it down to 140. I will probably be ordering after the 700 series come out for better pricing.

a 660 for 1280 is a bit silly.

Actually, I am doing 3d at 1080p if I get this 3d monitor. 1280x1024+1920x1080 equals an (uneven) 3200x1050ish. :whiste: But the smaller 1280x1024 75htz on will have my monitoring programs up and webpages. This monitor will be for gaming.
Man those are some ugly a** screenshots...what is that?
An ad for Lego?o_O
I hope you are kidding. Minecraft, the game that has addicted millions of people all over the world. http://minecraft.net/ Just for you I'll take more with AA and AF forced, it'll look better. ;)

Anyone know which 650 ti boost has the best voltage regulator chip? Like for overclocking etc. The twin frozrs looks fine but I don't understand the naming schemes of voltage chips.

Consider a better cooler if you are going to run DC on the GPU.

I wish I had!

DC? Distributed computing? I do F@H if that's what you mean. What do you mean?
Yes, DC = Distributed Computing

Folding heats up the card ... better cooling means lower temps and quieter (and higher OC maybe?).

On my 7770 I get to 65 max full folding powa.;) And I have a loud case, dell OEM. I have to deal with it until I upgrade.

It's a nice card but I apparently need one with 2GB memory, and faster isn't bad.

If you are doing F@H and Minecraft do you really want to overclock?

I'd go the other way and undervolt it.

Sadly you missed the rebate offer on the 660, but it's still better value than the 650 Boosts.

As I've said, I have a budget of about 130 to 160. I'm hoping that the 700 series will bring the 650ti boost to 140. I have the 130 myself and my friend will loan me the 30 if necessary, but I don't want to get into that.
