Im building a new system and im tossing up between some graphics cards.

Basically, im looking for a good high end, value for money graphics card for gaming purposes mainly.

Im looking at a Geforce FX5800 (not ultra), Radeon 9700Pro and a Radeon 9800 but any other suggestions are welcome. Though i do not want to get any more expensive than a Geforce FX5800

Thanks

I would go with the 9700NP or 9800NP depending on your budget, both are excellent value for money.

Btw Falcon2k ,welcome to the AT forums :).

The 9800NP is faster and if you can afford it go for that.

Read this review ,it`ll give you a good idea how the 9700Pro,FX5800,9800 Pro perform.

There`s no 9800NP reviews yet so expect it to be slightly slower then 9800 Pro version speed wise.

When u said "o/c it to pro" u mean overclock it to the stats of a 9800pro?

Im a newbie at this, so can u tell me how to do that? Also, is overclocking a temporary thing, like a overdrive that you turn on at times or something you keep on always?

Is this even a choice? The 9800 is the clear winner from the choices you've got there.
