Hi! I got a really good deal on an Antec SG850 PSU and will be using it in my next build. I am wanting to run two nVIDIA cards in SLI and was curious as to what would be the best that would be safe to run. The Antec SG850 current specs are:

+12V1 - 22 A
+12V2 - 22 A
+12V3 - 25 A
+12V4 - 25 A

I am hoping to be able to run a pair of GTX5xx cards. Thanks for the help in advance.

Additional information:

Case - Cooler Master HAF X nVIDIA Edition (on it's way)
Mobo - ASRock P67 Extreme4 (haven't ordered yet)
CPU - either an i5 2500k or i7 2600k (haven't ordered yet)
Memory: Crucial Smart Tracer 8GB DDR3 1600 (2 kits) {haven't ordered yet}
nVIDIA 3D Vision kit (already have)
Monitor - Acer GD235HZ 3D monitor (resolution 1920 x 1080) {already have} Note: may add two more in the future for 3D Surround
SSD/HDD - will get either a 64GB or 128 GB SATA3 SSD and a 1TB SATA3 HDD (haven't decided/ordered yet)
BD combo drive (already have)

This will be used mainly for gaming, watching 3D movies (as more become available) and light video editing (will be creating product review videos)

Jonnyguru did a review on that unit back when it came out.
The 8 pin connections (6+2) are each on their own 12v rail. So you will want to use one of those on each card, for example if you need 4 6 pin connectors. Its the more ideal way to do it.

There you have it - each of your watt hogger video cards can have a whole 25A 12V rail to itself. Ain't nothing I can think of that'll overdraw that.
12V rail distribution is thus:
12V1 - black modular connectors, Molexes, SATA
12V2 - EPS12V, ATX12V connectors
12V3 - one red modular connector, PCI-E 8 pin #1
12V4 - other red modular connector, PCI-E 8 pin #2

It's a great PSU, it will run anything you can throw at it. I have a 650W one and my parents have the 850W one. Mine has been working flawlessly for about 2 years now and my parents' one about 6 months.
