Yes and Yes.

1. Non-reflective screen, Nuvi 2xx/ 7xx has best portable screen money can buy.
Take either C330 or TT1-3 out in the sunny day and you will see what I meant.
Seriously, if you can't see the screen then you should buy the Text-to-speech model.

2. Easiest UI. Single tab current-location save. ( C330 and TT require numerous step just to save current location)

3. Battery life not important? ( well, if you don't mind having power cord hanging over your center console all the time, or you never take a walk in major city then TT1-3 is ok)

4. Routing Engine ( Garmin vs TT - Navteq vs TeleAtlas in the U.S. ) you can read so many review over the net.

5. Expansion. ( TT1-3, you don't get to expand/ no sd slot and POI data does build up quickly ) BTW, you know there are two version of Map for TT right? One on the TT1-3 is only 900mb, full POI map require 1.4GB.

However, if you truely need Canadian map, then you might want other model.

BTW, for $250 I am die-hard on Nuvi 260 for now.

Any thoughts on these two units?

Your parents are travelling the country and they always go to those restaurants? Why don't they experience America rather than partaking in the rampant placelessness?
