Which GForce 4 ti4400 is the most value for money

The MSI is only $240 now and it has VIVO. Image quality doesnt really matter if you are going to use DVI anyway. So I would say that's the best value. If you are into 3d gaming glasses you can get the PNY with 3d Glasses for about the same amount. I ordered the MSI so i'll tell you how it fares.

I have a VisionTek Ti4400. It comes with no extras; but I do have it overclocked to 300 core and 650 memory. So, for $255 it is the equivalent in performance to a Ti4600 that costs $100 more. The eVGA brand at newegg is $235, I think, again no extras.
Remember that most Ti4400s come with 3.6ns memory, not the 2.8 memory of the Ti4600. No matter, the price is right.

What do you mean about image quality with the MSI G4Ti4400-VTD? I was planning on getting one of these. Anyone know how good this card is?

I just got mine (msi ti4400 vtd) yesturday and so far It's excellent but I haven't tested the vivo features yet. I got 7540 3d2001se marks and all I have is a celery 1.2 ghz @1.32 ghz and 256mb ram so I'm thinkin' that ain't too bad of a score for my specs. Seems stable and everything. I like it so far.

I just saw this on the evga website.
To save you guys some clicking, it's a free BIOS update, VIVO cables, and software for video editing. It's for people that have bought an evga Geforce4 Ti card. The evga ti4400 card at newegg right not is just 235. Then again maybe vivo means nothing to you.

The only thing that bothers me about the MSI card is that Tomshardware said the HS fan sounds like a blow drier. Other than that, I would say just go for the cheapest card that has everything you need on it. I really have never seen a brand difference, especially if you are not planning on OC'ing....

I have to admit that the Leadtek card looks really cool. It doesn't mean jack, but TWO fans and that massive heatsink....goosebumps.

I don't have first hand knowledge yet, my Leadtek arrives tomorrow. :-D Even then though, I won't have another 4400 to compare it to. Here is what I read about the cards (4600 versions) at tomshardware.com. Firingsquad.com did a review on the Leadtek, but they did not mention noise (they actually bolted a 3rd 60mm fan on the back of the card on top of the backside passive HS).

Leadtek

"Thankfully, this massive cooling solution isn't overly noisy, although it is far from quiet. Still, it makes a lot less noise than Creative's 'blow-drier.' "

Creative (Please note that MSI builds the cards for Creative, so they are basically the same card)

"While it is quite a visual treat and does an excellent job, it is very loud and its sound bears resemblance to that of a blow-drier for your hair. Not exactly something you'd want around you when you're trying to work. Creative/ MSI should rethink their choice of components here and find an alternative. After all, the large heatsink wouldn't even require such a high-speed fan to be effective. "

<< Is the Leadtek noisier with its two fans? >>

No, your case fans and HDD seek should be louder.

Anything higher than 29dBA and Ill notice, should I be ok with it?

I ordered the Leadtek over at ComputerHQ for $245. It's arriving monday and I can't wait to start the overclocking on that baby.

I went with the Visiontek GF4 Ti 4400 for the lifetime warranty and the good quality of their cards. I had a GF3 Ti 500 and before that a GF 3 made by Visiontek and both were great cards.

Not at all.... if it is I don't hear it do to my delta fan on my SK6 HSF.

Leadtek card is a VERY good card.

happy with mine ...even if it cost me $540cdn.
