I need some help picking out a graphics card for my upgrade. I plan on doing some video editing but I am not a big gamer. Some of the GeForce cards offer VIVO. If I have a mobo with an firewire controller how would vivo be helpful? Do I need 128 MB for video editing or would 64 MB suffice (some of the reviews suggest little performance difference between 64 and 128 MB)? If I get a 64 MB Video card can I slap on another 64 DDR myself? Thanks!!!

The amount of video RAM is currently irrelevant to video editing so you won't notice a difference. If you're not a big gamer, why not go for a cheaper card such as the GF4MX of R9000?

If you're doing only DV editing, VIVO is irrelevant. It's only handy when you want either analogue in or out.

Also, modern video cards aren't user upgradeble. You can't stick more memory in, alas.

Unfortunately, they don't have firewire.
You could get Sound Blaster Audigy card,
which will give you upgrade for you sound card
plus firewire port

Edit: I got my Audigy here for $50 shipped.
Or you could just get a firewire card, which is cheaper.
