Which brand would you buy, Asustek, Inno3D, Elsa, VisionTek, Guillomont. All I know so far is the Inno3D is the only one with a fan on the board, is the fan a must? If it only comes with a heatsink can i put a fan on it. Also should i get one with TV-out

thanks

Anyone brand should allow you to o/c. My VisionTek was by default underclocked at 160Mhz core/143Mhz memory. But now its doing 180/175 just fine. Reference board default is 175/166 I believe.

Just me... But I would MUCH rather have a GeForce DDR over a GeForce2 MX.

The GeForce DDR is Faster, AND Cheaper than MX.

Where have you found a DDR cheaper than an MX? I looked for that very thing, and the original GeForce DDR cards are pretty expensive. :Q

And they use a lot of power... Thats the one reason I went for an MX over a GF DDR with a staples pricematch and coupon deal. Gota give my 300W PS all love I can. (It's already got 3cd-rom drives, 4 harddrives, and a duron 1Ghz+)

Only the GeForce SDR is cheaper than the MX. DDR's are still more expensive, or should I say not as cheap ;)

I've found the cheap DDR cards cost about the same as the expensive MX cards. I found my Leadtek WinFast Geforce DDR for $125.

Have both Visiontek MX and Inno3D MX.

Visiontek doesn't come w/ fan NOT even HS!!!!!

Inno3D not only come w/ HSF but it also has Samsung 6ns RAM. (like ASUS's)
My running 190/200 w/out any problem 247 for couple weeks already.

Other MX card...no commend, can't tell you something I haven't tried.

I have the Inno3d MX and it is a pretty nice card. It comes with the 6ns ram. It comes clocked at 175/166 from the factory. I can get it to do 200/200 without a prob. Mine has the fan not the hs.

What delay is the RAM on Elsa MX cards? I'm looking to get one now that it appears the NV20 will be delayed (I am NOT going another 6 months with a voodoo2!), and Elsa is good in general, and their MXs appear to be priced the same as everyone else's.

<< What delay is the RAM on Elsa MX cards >>

Ram does not have a "delay" it's rated by cycle speeds(in ns)

I owned a VisionTek Geforce 2 MX before I got my Radeon. I had no problems whatsoever with my VisionTek. It came with 6ns ram, so it ran the same speed as the reference card with no overclocking. It doesn't come with a heatsink, but you don't need one unless you plan to overclock. And they're only $99 at UCDweb. Also, other people have said that the 2D on VisionTek cards are really good. As far as I can tell, it matches the 2D on my Radeon.

I have the winfast and it seems pretty good. It has HS/Fan and overclocks to 200/215 which is supposed to put it just above an unclocked DDR it also has TV out although I havent used it yet. games play very good but text is a little blurry but its worth it. my only real bitch is that you have to overclock it every time you reboot unless you use power strip but then it only hits 195/200
I paid $129. at FRy's which is a little high but was no hassle in case I wanted to return it. In fact if you dont mind standing in line you could try a couple different models since it seems just about everything in that store has been returned at one time or another.
Good Luck

Get a Leadtek, they make exceptional cards. Their DDR Geforce is the best on the market..

Cheers...:D

OK, so I couldn't think of the proper term right then. You still:
- Obviously understood the question.
- Did not help answering it.

Creative makes a GeForce MX DDR (Yes DDR). They're selling them at Best Buy here in St. Cloud MN for $130. I own a Leadtek GeForce DDR, and it is a good one.
