Which Geforce 3?

Average price: $350

Now, I have 350 bucks no problem. However, is the one for $350 bucks good and worth the price? Any disadvantages compared to other Geforce 3 cards?

Save the 150, and get some games or go out to a real game, soon all our GeForces will be obsolete, and we don't even have a game out now that can make them sweat.

Welcome to Anandtech SevenUp...hmmm...I'm surprised that name hasn't been taken. 😀 Anyway, I would go with the Gforce Ti 200 and use the money you save for more RAM, a faster processor or a new motherboard. If you look at the article Anand published in the beginning of October, you can see how well the Ti 200 stacks up against the Ti 500.

Why not just get a regular Geforce 3 from new egg for 230 bucks...i believe (tell me if i'm wrong) that the gf3 is faster than the gf3 ti200. This is what i plan to do.

Yeah choose the Ti 200 or the radeon 8500. The 8500 OEM is under $200 now and should preform well even agianst the Ti 500 which is $150 more.

Yes I'll agree with people here and say the Ti200.

The middle of the range products are always better value for money than their top-of-the-range counterparts as the top end items carry such a price markup (which can be justifyed by their so called 'fastest' performance, apparently)

There is always the option of paying 200 for an ATI Radeon 8500 that beats the Ti200 and comes close to the Ti500.
