Which game has better engine/graphics - Crysis 1 or Far Cry 3?

There's a 40+ page ongoing thread about the stuttering on Ubisoft's forum with no response from the developers. I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Anyways, I didnt say its unenjoyable it's just really stuttery sometimes where I feel it shouldn't be.

silly question, but have you disabled vsync?

I limited the FPS to 45 and the stuttering is GONE.

So anybody having stuttering issues with this game, try limiting to 45 fps or whatever works for your GPU.

Now I can enjoy the game, incredible.

Enable Vsync in your control panel (as opposed to in game) for FC3. Also reduces stutter.

That being said, FC3 is very... cartoony. Is it supposed to be cel-shaded? It looks like it is.

Cry3 looks better IMO. FC3 just doensn't feel right.

I think I enjoyed Far Cry 3 more but Crysis 3 was actually really damn good looking, even on medium. I think it really is the best looking game right now. The environment was really well done imho. It just didn't look as pretty as Crysis 1 because it's not an island.

Its just a piece of software. It's not going to eat your unborn children.
😀

I have Origin, but as to my knowledge I have no unborn children available for consumption I can neither confirm nor refute this statement.

I will say while it's certainly not Steam, neither is it SecureROM - to my knowledge anyway.

Count me in the minority that thought Crysis had superb gameplay.

Until that point, most the the FPS I had played revolved around a fairly singular approach to combat.

It was certainly the very first FPS I had played where the character had movement mechanics that felt more like a real person, and not like I was guiding the movements of some sort of robot on a Segway.

I think its biggest weakness was the generic NPC's, with almost no real personality.....I think Crytek still has a big problem with this.

Crysis is still awesome to look at. I think that Crysis 3 graphics still look better than the 1st one. Just wait till ARMA 3 comes out...

Just wait till ARMA 3 comes out...

Not if it's anything like what we're seeing in the alpha. I really hope they work a little more on the visual quality by release. Even if they don't, I think I'm still really going to enjoy the game. I've never played an FPS where aiming and firing a weapon felt as realistic as this one.
