I'm curious which game people will be playing. An expansion coming for BC2, new CoD Black OPS, and MoH coming as well.

I'm personally excited for MoH, looks to be good. Never played BC2, and never really got into any of the CoDs.

MoH doesn't look that good at all. CoH is basically going to be the same game for the 4th time. I got bored of BC2. None of these really excite me at all.

BC2 Vietnam expansion is all I need. MoH from the limited time I played the beta was meh and I really don't give a shit about the CoD series and rather masturbate with a cheese grater then give Activision any money

I'll be playing the original Unreal Tournament (UT99) Capture-the-Flag and UT 2004 Onslaught and Invasion-RPG. The "realistic" shooters still aren't as much fun as these classic arena-style shooters, IMHO. I'll also be playing Savage2 though that's really more of a hybrid melee-FPS. (Savage2 rocks and it's FREE!).

I will still be playing Counter Strike
the only fps that has lasted me for years
maybe Black Ops if it has a killer steam sale but I'm waiting for next year to see how Brink or Crysis 2 turn out

Probably all of the above.

Currently playing BFBC2, will definately be getting the Vietnam expansion and playing that.
Have MOH on pre-order. Will play it some. But, based on the beta, it's longevity is in question. If Capture the Flag ends up being one of the multiplayer game modes, I may play it for a while.
I suspect a group of guys I play on-line with will be getting Black Ops, if so, I probably will too.

Anything but Black Ops. I bought MW2 much to my chagrin, but have not bought any of the DLCs.

Fuck Activision and their garbage imo. They don't get my cash support anymore.

I was originally planning on buy MoH, but it's not looking so great anymore. I think I'll pick up Black Ops for the 360. I've never really had a fps for the console before.

I'm still happy with BF2 and CSS. Waiting on something really ground breaking that plays at a respectable fps.

Unreal Tournament III

Wow, I'm surprised nobody picked MoH so far. Looks like the comments I've read about the beta not being that good are true.

you can't judge a game off a Beta... it's a Beta not a demo. Beta's are designed to figure out what works and what doesn't and then to tweak and change things. Judging a game based on a Beta is the equivalent of judging the raw footage of a movie before the editing and cuts have been made.

Well, I hope it is good. All of the trailers looked pretty badass to me.

I really comes down to which is better. MoH or Black ops. I'm sure most people will be getting both of them.

I kinda liked the MoH beta, but it's a game that desperately needed prone....no i'm not a camner. There was no cover in the moh beta. You'd go behind a wall and your head would be showing. To make matters worse there was no recoil at all in the beta so you basically just had to stand up and out point and click everyone else. Movement played almost no factor in skill in the beta. If that changed it could be decent.

Yeah, I read there is no prone....kind of disappointing. I haven't really played any FPS (Besides TF2) in the past 10 years since Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat Mod....which rocked. I remember prone being an essential part of the game.

If you liked DC why not play Modern Warfare? Or BF2 for that matter... DC was buggy as hell compared to any newer games. Hit a bump with a humvee and it will explode.

Probably Borderlands, I'll start a new character later this month when the upcoming DLC is released, then I might just keep playing it regularly until I finish it. I know I'll play TF2 as well, as always, and then perhaps a few of my favorite FPS oldies I got such as DN3D with some mods or Hexen, etc., in terms of new FPSes there's nothing "new" lately that really grabs my attention much.

Yes you can. In years past you couldn't because betas actually meant the game was still deep in development, in today's terms most betas seem to mean almost finished and companies treat them almost like demos just to help them iron out the most crucial of bugs.

Granted that's a pretty broad generalization but it has been true for the most part. MoH very well may turn out to be very different and much better game from the beta but I'm not going to hold my breath.

The Precursors

Straight FPSs of modern times are so unimaginative and boring. I don't want to play the same exact game with mildly updated graphics.

Hopefully Duke Forever is released before the end of Winter. Other than that, I saw Orange Box on sale a week ago, I'll probably get that and play Ep 1 and 2 of HL2.
