get the one with lifetime warranty, which ever they may be

getting xtx/xt depends on your preference, if you wanna oc further (not by much from what i read), then getting the xtx would be a pretty safe bet

getting the xt on the other hand would save you a few bucks, you can even use the few bucks you save to get a aftermarket cooler

the accelero X2 would fit on the x1900 series i think

the xt would most likely oc beyond the xtx speed
but the xt tops out before the xtx does, by only 20 or so mhz i heard

The xt is a 25mhz 'downclock' from the xtx. That's about 3.7%. Reports are the XT has tighter memory timings at a 25mhz lower memory clock, so real world performance may not be a linear 3.7% difference.

It's a safe bet the XT will run at XTX speeds with no trouble. Whether a 3.7+% improvement (aka 1 fps in most cases) is worth voiding the warranty on a $500 graphics card is up to you.

Man, MSI is going nuts with the rebates. I'm wondering if they're gonna be good for them, or if they'll pull a Soyo. Out of all of those, I'd pick the $450 sapphire. 2 year warranty is good enough, if a card lasts > 2 years, it's probably not worth the shipping costs to RMA.

MSI probably can't screw up making a reference X1900XT, but for only $10 difference, no sense in risking the $50 rebate. The sapphire for $450 is a discount, not a rebate.

Personally, I'm close to pullling the trigger on the Connect3D X1900XTX due to price and b/c it comes w/ a 2 year warranty.

Like caveman is saying the xtx is only $25 more than the sapphire xt. Is the xtx worth risking the rebate for or should I save the $25 for an aftermarket cooler?

Anyone else have any opinions on an accelero X2 or another cooler? Also are the xt's really that noisy to warrant another cooler?

Damn, you're right Kyparrish, that's a $30 price drop since this morning!

New question, will newegg match your price if the item you buy suddenly drops within a few days of purchase?

Don't think they do that because of the rapidly-changing market, tristanic. I think I've heard that if you have a package en route to you though, and the price drops drastically, you can just refuse the package at the door, they'll send it back to newegg, and you can get your money back that way.

Unless it was a lot of $$$, I wouldn't want to do that because a)I'd feel like an ass to the Fedex man, and b) I'd hate to tie up that much money on my CC while waiting for some to be refunded.

Good point, wishful thinking on my part I guess. Any ideas whether it is worth waiting a few more days to see if they drop more or should I just bite? Damn, this is getting to be like playing stocks or something.

Just don't get the MSI. MSI's products are of not-so-good quality. Just look in newegg's refurbished area and you'll see all kinds of MSI products. Do NOT get an MSI, no matter what. Just don't.
