Which firewall/UTM?

Looking to buy a Firewall with or without UTM and could use some guidance. I've narrowed down the selection to the following choices:

Firewall (No UTM):
TP-LINK TL-ER6120
NETGEAR ProSAFE SRX5308

Firewall w/ UTM:
ZyXEL USG110
NETGEAR ProSECURE UTM5

A couple thoughts/questions:
I like the idea of UTM...automatic scanning/protection/updates...but the subscription costs are pretty expensive. In your experience/opinion, is UTM worth the cost or is a standard firewall (No UTM) more than sufficient? Performance/speed seems to vary quite a bit with both firewalls and UTM's. Of the models listed above, which one would provide the best speed and performance for the price?

Any other tips/recommendations appreciated. 🙂
 
I see your doohickies and raise you this doohicky with pfSense or Sophos Home UTM. I am not impressed by Netgear Prosafes. Out of those, I'd give the Zyxel a whirl though.
