Seems more efficient to me than using one finger for double duty
(I use the scroll wheel a lot, as well as the middle mouse button for opening new tabs in FireFox)
freak! that is so uncomfortable to me...lol
my midde finger stays on the right button and my index finger goes back and forth between left mouse button and scroll wheel

It seems I'm an oddball. But that's the case in a lot of ways when it comes to mice. I just use a bottom of the barrel Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse. It's not ergonomically shaped, it's not wireless, it doesn't have any extra buttons - and I like it like that. I have about 10 of these mice one for each of our PCs and laptops (as well as work PCs), and a few spares just in case. I had an MX700 when the MX700 was the best mouse on the market, but I prefer my plain-jane mouse. I don't use any kind of space-age mousing surface either - and old school squishy fabric mouse pad for me. And I don't need any kind of fancy lazor-mice either.

Our first computer was when I was in fifth grade... so that was like 1993/1994. So I was about 11.Originally posted by: jdini76
For those who use middle finger, how old are you or when did you first learn to use a mouse? I use my index finger. I think its becasue I learned to use a mouse before it had a scroll wheel on it.
Index finger Left button/scroll
Middle Finger Right button
