which FF for ps2?

which would you recommend? I've played FF7 a little on PC, but I can't seem to find the original ff7 for ps2. PS, I only buy used games

Actually--FF7 was a PS1 game believe it or not. But I think the last FF game for the PS2 that I played and enjoyed that FFX. There was some excitement for FFXII, but I just couldnt get into it.

Last FF for PS1 was FF9, with very cartoonish characters. I still have the orginal FF7 and FF9. FFX was the 1st for PS2, it's probably the best one. I have FFXII as well, but couldn't get into it.

For PS2 it's FFX,X-2 and XII. For traditional turn -based, FF X and X-2 are the way to go. FFXII for the newer battle system(the one from FFXI sorta). PS FF7 would cost you somewhere between 70-120$ depending if its a greatest hits or not.

Make an investment and get FF7... It is by far the best one...a true classic despite the dated graphics.

If you don't want to spend alot of $$, FF9 was also great...It is a true RPG, and much better than FF10, 11, or 12 in my opinion.

You can get the PC version of Final Fantasy VII. Seems to be a bit less expensive than the PS1 version.

IIRC, isnt that a glide game if you want 3D? May have to dig the old Voodoo5 5500 out of the closet.

update: Just checked ebay and the price for FF 7 on the PC is very high (at least looking at the buy it now).

Modern processors can easy render it in software.
