Which Fan?

Right now i have 4 green Vantec LED fans (that light up and cool my case nicely by themselves btw) and i am looking for a 120mm that matches the green LED vantec's i already have, to put on the side of my case. So far ive only found one from Antec : http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=77098
and Quad? :http:// http://www.xoxide.com/quadledgreen.html

Or:http:// http://www.svc.com/ledfans120.html for some more selection...

Sorry for the "non-links" and i hear the quad are the same as the galaxy ones.

I like the looks of this cooler master fan.

Specs look pretty decent for a quiet fan. I don't think it'll pull 21 dBa, but it would be the quietest addition to your case without spoiling the looks.

If you're into cooling without care for noise, go for the highest CFM you see.

I've seen some 120mm AC Ryan Blackfire fans that take my fancy. They've got 4 UV LEDs in them, and look very nice. They're the only 120mm UV LED fans I can find. Not sure if the UV is your thing, but they do look great.

Just on the side here, does anyone else know of any other 120mm UV LED fans?

I vote for the cooler master

Cooler Master TLF-S12

I have two of the 80mm version, very good airflow, nice and bright, look great.

I run them on 7v except when gaming and they have held up much better than my stealths. Not much louder, either (12v that is).

Ive narrowed it down a little... the AC Ryan's are looking pretty good right now with the 2000 RPM .. I'd like a little more info on its performance Degrador.. http://www.coolpc.com.au/catal....php?cPath=127_5_81_90 But i need some reviews on the cooler master... 1220 rpm...sleeve bearing... hmmm not sure about that... i like the LED's on it, but the rpm is a little low for me...and sleeve bearing...

Yep, that's the store I'm looking at getting them from. The only review of the Blackfires I can find is a Spanish one. Here's the translated link: Xtremenews Review. The pics at the end look really nice. And the specs on the first page look pretty good too (2500rpm, 29dB, 78cfm), although I'm not sure if they're accurate. I might be buying some soon, so if I do I'll let you know how they go.

Hey, I've said that my two sleeve bearing cooler masters have already outlasted my two dual ball-bearing Stealths.

CMs run fine, Stealths' motors make a terrible whining noise at full speed. I've been using all these fans since Christmas.

Thanks for the translated review Degrador. And Thuper, u said u had the 80mm ones, which have a different RPM that the 120mm ones. But i will probably get some of those 80mm Coolermasters if i need some more 80mm fans.

I did say I had the 80mm, I also said I ran them at 7v which means the motors are spinning about as slow as the 120mm and I believe they use very similar motors.

I've just ordered 3 of those 120mm AC Ryan Blackfire4 UV LED fans - they should be in next week, so I'll let you know what they're like then.

Alright, ill check back often. You ordered from coool pc, correct?

Yup. Ordered one of each colour (blue, green and orange). Came to $82.70 delivered to Melbourne (standard post).

Ok, I finally got the UV LED fans in (green and orange - the blue is on backorder). They look really good, especially after a swapped the fan blades between them (took the fan blades from the orange one and put into green and vice versa). The only slightly annoying thing is they're rather loud. I have them hooked up to my fan controller, and only at the minimum voltage (7V I think) are they quiet. They're fairly noisy at the full 12V. The LEDs still work quite well at 7V though. All in all, I'd still recommend them - look great 🙂.

Alright. Thanks alot for the short review. I'll be buying some shortly. One question, hows the cooling? Loud and...Pushes alot of air? A decent amout? or little?
